David Barrientos has been an employee of El Centro College for four years and an employee of the DCCCD for over seven years. He has a wide range of experience and involvement in a number of areas and a broad understanding of the community college’s strengths, weaknesses, and opportunities. Mr. Barrientos has served the past four years as the Grant Manager for a U.S. Department of Labor TAACCCT grant, the Health Professions Pathway (H2P) project. Mr. Barrientos is currently an Ed.D candidate in Higher Education Administration at Texas Tech University. He holds a M.S. in Managerial Science from Amberton University and a B.A. in History from Texas Tech University. He also is a member of the DCCCD Health Careers Resource Center Steering Committee & the ECC Strategic Enrollment Management planning committee.
Title: Summer Bridge Program Director

Donny Brooks holds a B.A. in Arts & Science from Texas Tech University, a Masters Degree in Science and Theology from Minnesota Graduate School of Theology. He also is a certified grant writer; Crisis Counselor with The Academy of Crisis Counseling Association; certified substance abuse counselor and instructor through Texas Alcohol and Counsel Association. Additionally, he has completed training in counseling adults and children from Therapon Institute. He is formally the director of Texas Pre- Freshman Engineering summer program and ECC’s College Mentor Program.

Charlotte Moore is the Administrative Assistant and has worked full-time at El Centro for 13 years. She has worked with the Title V grant since 2005. Charlotte enjoys the true sense of teamwork that occurs in working with people who have like thoughts and visions in making education innovative.

Kristina Every has been with El Centro since 2012. During these years she has served in an assortment of student services roles for a variety of grant funded programs. Kristina is passionate about education and the students she serves. She is sponsor for the El Centro STEM Club. Kristina holds a B.G.S. in Family and Consumer Sciences as well as an A.S. with a concentration in Child Development and Preschool Management both from Nicholls State University in Thibodaux, LA and is currently pursuing her M.Ed. in Student Development and Leadership from Angelo State University. She is also Project Director for the THECB Carl D. Perkins Grant.
