ARTICLE I: NAME

            The Name of our organization is officially:
SISTER 2 SISTER FEMALE MENTORING CLUB

ARTICLE II: PURPOSE OF THE ORGANIZATION

Mission: Empowering the development of academic and social advancement of female students.

Objectives:
  • Develop relationships
  • Increase retention rates
  • Increase campus involvement
  • Help students achieve their goals
  • Develop a more positive self-image
  • Develop leadership skills

ARTICLE III: MEMBERSHIP

MENTEE QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
  • Be currently enrolled at El Centro College
  • Complete the mentee application
  • Be dedicated to improving your academic, personal, and professional life
  • Commit to all program requirements
  • Strong commitment to goals and responsibility
  • Be receptive to feedback and coaching
  • Respect mentors time
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times
 
MENTOR QUALIFICATIONS/REQUIREMENTS:
  • Be a current El Centro College employee
  • Complete the mentor application packet
  • Pass a criminal background check
  • Be dedicated to helping students
  • Provide one-on-one and group mentoring
  • Must attend all mentor training sessions
  • Listen actively to mentees
  • Establish trust
  • Challenges mentee to think critically and analyze
  • Help mentee identify specific life goals
  • Provide career guidance
  • Offers constructive and meaningful feedback and critical analysis
  • Respect mentees time
  • Maintain confidentiality at all times
 
ARTICLE IV: MEETINGS
 
  •  General meetings/workshops are to be held once a month
    • Special meetings and times may be arranged according to circumstances.
  • Advisors shall meet the minimum of twice per month.
 
ARTICLE V: OFFICERS- N/A
 
  • Sister 2 Sister does not require officer roles

ARTICLE VI: COORDINATORS/ADVISORS
 
  • Sister 2 Sister is led by female employees who volunteer to coordinate meetings, workshops, and community service efforts for the members.  They work together with fellow mentors, as well as mentees, to adhere to the mission, objectives, and criteria for Sister 2 Sister. 

ARTICLE VII: FINANCES
 
  • Section 1: Dues
    • We do not collect dues
  • Section 2: Fundraisers
    • We will collects finances through fundraising efforts that are collectively planned by the mentees/mentors
  • Section 3: Authorized Signor(s)
    • Staff/Advisor for group will be the authorized signors on the fund account
      • They will submit fundraiser forms, reimbursement requests, and turn in any funds raised

ARTICLE VIII: ENACTING CLAUSE
 
This Constitution shall become effective upon approval of the office of Student Programs and Services.
