After earning her associate’s degree in dental hygiene from Colorado Northwestern Community College, Dr. Vandenbush practiced clinical dental hygiene in 7 states and Italy, as a military wife. She served as the former Dental Director for the State of Michigan and was responsible for founding the Michigan Oral Health Coalition, developing the statewide third grade dental sealant program, and introducing new and innovative oral health initiatives for the underserved community.
Dr. Vandenbush has served as a consultant to the American Dental Association as a dental hygiene site visitor and has served on the National Board Dental Hygiene Examination (NBDHE) test construction committee for community health. She currently serves on the NBDHE test construction committee for clinical dental hygiene and is a dental hygiene examiner for the CDCA/ADEX exam.
Donna Wicker, M.Ed., RDH, RDA
Following the completion of her bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene from Texas Woman’s University, Mrs. Wicker completed her master’s of education in Higher Education from Dallas Baptist University. Mrs. Wicker will complete her Ed.D. in Higher Education and Administration from Texas Tech University in 2017. Her career began with a focus on community health while serving as the Dental Hygienist/Health Educator for the City of Fort Worth Public Health Department. She has practiced dental hygiene specializing in periodontal patients for over 25 years.
Mrs. Wicker brings research and application to all her classes and turns an ordinary classroom into an extraordinary experience.
Jack Lewis, DDS
Dr. Lewis is a certified teacher with a strong background in the science. Following his service as a pilot in the United States Air Force, he began his teaching career working with high school students. His passion for dentistry lead him to a doctoral of dental sciences degree from Baylor College of Dentistry.
Dr. Lewis managed his own practice and served as the Chief Dental Officer for a community health center.
Kristal Robinson, BS, RDH
Following completion of her associates of applied science degree in dental hygiene from Tennessee State University/Meharry Medical College, and bachelor of applied science in Health Studies from Texas Woman’s University, Ms. Robinson is pursuing her master’s degree in Health Studies from Texas Woman’s University.
With over 13 years of clinical dental hygiene experience Ms. Robinson shares her passion for dental hygiene in a positive learning environment.
Abigail (Abby) Bautista
Clinical Administrative Assistant
Ms. Bautista has over 5 years in dental assisting and dental office management. She is currently pursuing her associate in science degree.
Ms. Bautista plays a vital role in the management of the community dental hygiene clinic.
